Sexual health is an important part of the well-being for both the individual and the couple. Physical, emotional and social factors impact sexual health. Our practice has a unique approach in dealing with this sensitive, but immensely important area of medicine. Patients experiencing significant sexual health issues that cannot be resolved in a routine medical encounter are encouraged to schedule a visit in our weekly sexual health clinic.
During the initial assessment, we obtain a detailed sexual history from a medical and a psychological perspective. A visit to the Sexual Health Clinic at Alliance Primary Care is a comprehensive two hour evaluation process. The patient will meet with our sexual health counselor, our pelvic floor physical therapist, and receive a medical and laboratory examination. The return visit will detail a very specific treatment plan tailored to attain optimal sexual health and rehabilitation.

Insurance does not reimburse for the initial evaluation and the full payment of $700.00 is due during the scheduling process. There may be parts of the recommended treatment plan which are reimbursed by an individual’s insurance policy. The estimated ongoing costs of therapy will be included in the treatment plan and varies considerably depending on the specific needs of the patient.
